2025 Calendar of Events

The theme of this column is "trying new things." I'm happy to be starting this new project of writing the entertainment column for Leisure Living Magazine! I've done all I could to make the entertainment listing complete and varied, so there should be something for everyone. Although I've done my best to make sure all the information is accurate, please go online or call ahead to confirm your plans.

Shopping locally for the holidays is the perfect way to find the perfect gifts while supporting our friends and neighbors. This is the second year for the Sandusky Christmas Market, which features artisans, food, and entertainment. The event will be at Mylander Plaza the last weekend in November and the first two weekends in December, ending on the 13th. While you’re there, take the short stroll south to enjoy the charming decorations in Washington Park.
Once again, the Gideon Owen Wine Company on Catawba Island presents the Holiday Market on weekends from Nov. 28 through Dec. 21. Enjoy the large outdoor fireplace, vendors in "glass houses," food, and music.
Several groups will present annual holiday concerts in the area. The Sandusky Choral Society performs the evening of Dec. 5 at Norwalk United Methodist Church and the afternoon of Dec. 7 at Grace Episcopal Church in Sandusky. The North Coast Concert Band takes the stage Dec. 7 at Port Clinton High School Performing Arts Center (PAC). The Trinity United Methodist Church in Port Clinton will host a Community Musical Christmas Pageant on Dec. 14. The Musical Arts Port Clinton Series free community concert featuring the Burning River Brass is also at the PCHS PAC, on Dec. 21.
