2025 Calendar of Events
By Catharine Hadley, Arts and Entertainment Editor, catharinehadley@gmail.com
The theme of this column is "trying new things." I'm happy to be starting this new project of writing the entertainment column for Leisure Living Magazine! I've done all I could to make the entertainment listing complete and varied, so there should be something for everyone. Although I've done my best to make sure all the information is accurate, please go online or call ahead to confirm your plans.
Any suggestions and details of your upcoming events can be sent to me at catharinehadley@gmail.com.
In 1995, Sandusky was the location of the buddy comedy movie "Tommy Boy," starring Chris Farley and David Spade.
This summer, the city is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the movie with "Tommy Boy Fest," August 7 through 9. The event includes outdoor movie screenings, a scavenger hunt, music, and a classic car show. David Segal, the movie's director, will appear for a question-and-answer session and a photo opportunity.
Holy Schnikes! It's time to wear that "little coat."
SNL Exhibit "50 Years of Music" is now open at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. One of my friends went and had a great time touring the re-creation of Studio 8H, where the Saturday Night Live performances were held.
This is an excellent time of year to be outside! I found too many outdoor music events, farmers markets, and more to mention, so see the listings in the following calendar. The Lakeside Symphony Orchestra is in full swing this season, too. Enjoy!
